From March 15–16, 2025, His Eminence, our Archbishop Mark, made an archpastoral visit to our mission!
On Saturday, March 15, we greeted His Eminence with warmth and gratitude, and after the Great Vespers service, Father Leonid and the parish council had the opportunity to meet with Archbishop Mark over dinner.
On Sunday, March 16, we were honored to have Archbishop Mark preside over the Divine Liturgy. Father Leonid and Deacon Peter Staller served also, while the choir, led by Matushka Laura, sang beautifully. His Eminence delivered a thoughtful homily on repentance and spiritual transformation, reminding us that faith makes change possible. We received the Holy Eucharist, and afterward, Archbishop Mark shared words of encouragement with the faithful, urging us to continue sharing the Good Word and stay engaged in our mission efforts.
The day ended with heartfelt gestures of appreciation from the parish. The youth presented Archbishop Mark with flowers, and His Eminence, in turn, gave them to Matushka Laura as a thank you for her tireless support. Mr. Eric Fisak, our Parish Council President, presented a check to Archbishop Mark for the St. Nikolai of Zhicha Fund to support Youth Ministry in our diocese. We also enjoyed a Lenten meal together, creating an opportunity for fellowship and continued reflection on our Lenten journey.
It was a truly joyful and blessed weekend, and we are deeply grateful to His Eminence for his visit!
